A little something opens the EP Bloom and is a lo-fi soulful song. The song is driven by the keyboard laying the groove on a neo soul chord progression. The vocals and horns melody then response to each other. It has somehow a melancholic feeling referring to a failed love story. The hip hop bridge section adds more dynamic and groovy music to the jazz funk soul ensemble. The song culminates on the keyboard solo bringing a latin feel to the piece.
lyrics
Holding, holding, holding on something that’s nice
Living, living, living the best of all your life
Dreaming, dreaming, dreaming about us when you’re high
Hidden, hidden, hidden between these arms of mine
It was dark and it was late when you came up to me that day
Nice style, bright smile, it was hard to say no way
Getting high all the time, you can say we were ready
Getting closer to the fire, you can say we were ready
Something in your world, something in your world
Got me thinking that, sure, I knew you first
Something in your world, something in your world
We never met before but now I remember
Something deep inside, something deep inside
I gotta show myself before it goes apart
Something that you know, something that you know
Something that you know, something that you know
I can say, honestly, I did dream about you some days, some nights
Even when I drive alone on the fast ride
It was constantly evolving, returning to my old prayers
To my old prayers
So-o, tell if you think about me
It’s hard to go, it’s hard to know, I can’t believe it when I fall
Tell me if you care about me
I tried to make you scream, tried to make you feel, tried to make you
Don’t know if you care about me
Every time I’m all around, it’s seems that you cannot be found
Don’t know if you care about
Don’t know if you care about
Don’t know if you care about me
Something in your world, something in your world
Got me thinking that, sure, I knew you first
Something in your world, something in your world
We never met before but now I remember
Something deep inside, something deep inside
I gotta show myself before it goes apart
Something that you know, something that you know
Something that you know, something that you know
