What is neo soul? Our song New Soul is mixing lofi jazz and soul to create an airy atmosphere relying on groovy music. The vocal melody describes the creation of a new fierce and forbidden feeling that is growing inside yourself but can barely find any occasion to express itself hence the tensed underlying harmony on the neo soul chord progression. The sax solo represents the short moments spend between the 2 lovers. The song establishes Salt Peanuts as a neo soul artist.
