Playback is the third song of the EP Bloom. It is a modern jazz ballad drawing influences from African music as well as new scene London jazz with band like GoGo Penguin or Kokoroko. The song develops around slow verses with instrumental interludes, led by the tenor sax and trumpet, and double time choruses. It is perhaps the more complex song of the album showing the love of the band for jazz music and its attempt to merge it into a more neo soul contemporary music.
